Want to help Empty Chairs pop up in more places? You can host a table, suggest a venue, or share the campaign with someone who might need it.
Host an Empty Chairs in your town
You don’t need experience - just a pub, and a willingness to create a space for others. We’ll help you with the basics: how to set it up, what to say if someone arrives, and how to keep it welcoming and low-pressure.
Hosting can be as simple as: pick a date, book a small table, show up, and leave a couple of chairs free. If you're not sure where to host then check out our list of venues that have said they're looking for hosts.
Let people know you’d like to host in your venue
Lots of venues have got in touch to let us know they’d love to welcome Empty Chairs but don’t have anyone to be the host. All Empty Chairs events have someone in orange at the table for at least an hour, so attendees will always have someone to connect with. If you’d like to offer your venue to potential hosts let us know in this form and we will let our host applicants know that there are friendly venues near them!
